Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead program construction activities in a fast-paced design and delivery environment. You will oversee daily onsite execution, coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals, and ensure schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met.

Significant experience with local authorities and occupancy requirements is preferred. The role involves mentoring staff and delivering comprehensive project closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in managing construction programs and projects.
• Strong ability to develop and defend project schedules with stakeholders.
• Proven QA/QC oversight and adherence to codes and standards.
• Commitment to safety and incident prevention on worksites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner, contractors, and design professionals.
• Supports development of project schedules and tracks deviations.
• Prepares final documentation for closeout and maintains project records.
• Monitors cost, schedule, and quality to meet client requirements.
• Promotes and enforces safety controls on the jobsite.
• Trains and mentors construction administration staff.
• Reviews plans, submittals, RFIs, and pay applications for QA/QC.
• Ensures regulatory occupancy requirements are met with local authorities.
