Job summary

Amazon’s Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Design & Construction seeks a Construction Manager to serve as the owner’s representative across the full lifecycle of facilities builds, retrofits, and expansions powering Amazon’s logistics network.

The role requires 60% regional travel and collaboration with external partners, while managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and safety to deliver projects on time and in scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction management spanning design through handover.
• Experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM; familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across project teams.
• Lead or assist in permitting processes with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through handover, including budgets and schedules.
• Act as owner’s representative coordinating between construction teams and internal stakeholders.
• Review documents for conformance to building standards and design guidelines.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and schedule clashes across teams.
• Provide KPI-based reporting on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
