Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction seeks a Construction Manager to serve as owner's representative for logistics facilities. You will manage the full construction lifecycle from design review to handover, across new builds, retrofits, expansions, and programs in your region.

You will lead project reviews, budget tracking, schedules, and contract negotiations, coordinating with developers, contractors, and AHJ, while upholding safety and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• 5+ years as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management across design through handover.
• 5+ years negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• Travel up to 60% with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative and construction integrator on assigned projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design phase through completion and handover.
• Review bid packages, budgets, and schedules; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and GC.
• Audit contractor performance to ensure skills and resources meet requirements.
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Review construction docs for conformance to design standards.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and scheduling gaps across teams.
• Coach project teams through the lifecycle; uphold safety-first culture.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders; monitor KPIs.
• Partner on facility turnover documentation and transition.
• Identify value engineering opportunities with engineering partners.
• Seek sustainable solutions throughout construction.
