Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction team seeks a Construction Manager to drive facility projects from design through handover. You will be the owner's representative, coordinating with developers, contractors, AHJ, and internal teams to ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.

Role requires 60% travel across North America and flexibility to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Relocation assistance may be provided for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management spanning design through construction handover.
• 5+ years negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
• 5+ years with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Position includes travel up to 60% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through construction completion and handover.
• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative and primary interface between construction teams and internal stakeholders.
• Review construction documents for conformance to building standards and guidelines.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, schedule clashes, and coordination gaps.
• Review contractor bids, budgets, and schedules to resolve discrepancies.
• Assess KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
