Job summary

Morley Moss, Inc is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant who will report to the CFO. The role involves managing payroll processing, benefits, garnishments, and tax deductions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in construction, and strong Excel skills. The position supports monthly financial statements, assists in accounting close, and collaborates with the finance team to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years working in a payroll capacity, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel formulas and formatting.
• Experience with payroll/software tools such as ProContractor and/or Viewpoint Vista.

Responsibilities

• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems for salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay-rate changes.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and reporting requirements.
