Job summary

Terracon in Auburn, AL seeks a field technician for testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel. You will communicate with project staff, prepare reports, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards on site.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of experience, proficiency with Word/Excel, a valid driver’s license, and relevant certifications or NICET/ICC/ASNT are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by PM.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices and reports safety issues to management.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
