Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a field/lab technician able to perform testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel at construction sites. You will communicate with the Project Manager, transport samples, and prepare written/digital reports.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience, plus proficiency with MS Word/Excel. A valid driver's license is required; NICET/ICC/ASNT certifications are preferred where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of relevant field or lab testing experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and MS Word/Excel.
• ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I and Concrete Strength Testing Technician are required or expected.
• Radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed according to procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and communicates results to the Project Manager.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission.
• Communicates information to PM and other personnel as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and reports issues to management.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
