Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Construction Materials Manager to oversee receiving operations, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation and entry of materials into the inventory system while leading a team to meet project schedules on a large construction site.

The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of materials management experience on major projects, strong organizational skills, and a track record of coordinating with suppliers and carriers in a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of supervising materials for large multidiscipline construction projects.
• Experience receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials for large construction projects, preferably power plants.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Background in receiving, warehouse or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain processes.
• Ability to manage relationships with suppliers and carriers.
• Proven leadership and training capability for a team.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving operations and ensure adherence to purchase orders and specs.
• Conduct quality checks on shipments and document discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate entry of goods into the inventory system.
• Lead and train receiving staff to meet construction schedules.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers and freight carriers.
• Maintain safe, clean, compliant receiving areas.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve receiving accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor and manage department budgets.
