Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager in Florida to oversee projects from scope to completion, ensuring safety and on-schedule delivery within budget. You will monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, manage resources, schedules and budgets, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors while delivering clear status reports to the client.

Responsibilities include leading meetings, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and coordinating staff to hit milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with at least 5 years of related experience; or 9 years without a degree.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or similar registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized project.
• Define project scope, schedule and budget with client or NAM.
• Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project.
• Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
• Resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Identify resources, prepare calculations, designs, reports and work specs; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, personnel, and external contractors.
• Coordinate with APR and other departments to secure resources and oversight.
• Prepare meetings and reports to communicate project status to client and team.
