Job summary

Terracon is hiring a Construction Materials Department Manager for our Lubbock office. The successful candidate will lead the construction materials team, plan and schedule projects, and coordinate resources to meet scope, schedule, and budget while collaborating with clients.

The role requires a strong background in engineering materials, quality systems, and project management, with supervisory experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or geology with 8+ years of related experience.
• Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the construction materials department and oversee medium-to-large, complex projects.
• Lead client and stakeholder interactions to align goals with project execution.
• Design, communicate, and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Champion safety, ensure compliance with approved plans, and minimize risks.
• Coach staff, allocate resources, monitor progress, and report status to leadership.
