Job summary

Terracon is seeking a materials engineering project manager to lead and safely deliver scope-driven work on time and within budget. You will define the plan with the client, lead safety efforts, and coordinate internal staff and external contractors to meet milestones.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience or a 9-year alternative, plus a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology. MoDOT/IDOT/NICET, PE or PG are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ related experience; in lieu of a degree, 9 years’ related experience.
• Preferred qualifications include certifications like MoDOT/IDOT/ICC/NICET and PE/PG registrations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized project and ensure safety compliance.
• Define project scope, schedule and budget with client or NAM and implement a plan.
• Lead meetings, track progress, and communicate status to client and project team.
• Coordinate resources, including external vendors and contractors, to meet milestones.
• Assist with invoicing, change orders, and financial oversight in collaboration with APR.
• Identify project risks and promote quality monitoring and improvements.
