Job summary

S&ME, INC. is seeking Laboratory Technicians for construction materials testing in Nashville, TN, with opportunities from entry-level to experienced. You will test soils, concrete, masonry and asphalt, document results, and maintain lab equipment while supporting field projects across locations.

This full-time role involves travel to Paducah, KY for project support with per diem. Benefits include ESOP ownership, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays and PTO, tuition reimbursement, and company vehicle use

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
0–5+ years of construction materials testing/inspections experience preferred.
Effective math skills and understanding of weight, volume, and units of measure.
Clear English communication (speaking, reading and writing).
Active industry certifications such as ACI Field Testing Grade I or ICC Special Inspector are a plus.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Test and document tests on soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt materials with accuracy.
Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with calibrations.
Travel to support KY Locke project in Paducah, KY with per diem.
