S&M&E in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking Construction Materials Engineering Technicians for both part-time and full-time roles. The positions involve hands-on testing of concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates, plus sample prep, data interpretation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred for advanced levels.
• Experience: Technician I 0-2 years; Technician II 2+ years with associate degree; Technician III 3+ years; Technician IV 5+ years with leadership.
• Certifications: ACI Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician; ICC Special Inspector.
• Key competencies: Strong English communication; basic math; willingness to travel; valid US driver’s license; ability to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Field & Lab Testing: Performing field and laboratory testing on construction materials like concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• Sample Collection & Prep: Collecting and preparing samples for analysis.
• Data Interpretation & Reporting: Interpreting test results and preparing detailed reports.
• Team Collaboration & Compliance: Working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure all work meets specifications and safety guidelines.
