S&ME in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our Construction Services team. This hands-on role starts outdoors and builds foundational skills in concrete, soils, and testing, supporting project quality and safety.

You will receive paid, on-the-job training toward ACI and ICC certifications, work with field crews, and grow with a company that emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills with an understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.
• Attention to detail and effective communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Test field and lab samples (concrete, soils, asphalt, masonry) and document results.
• Maintain and operate testing equipment and ensure reports are accurate and complete.
• Perform inspections per IBC codes and manage data using Metafield.
