Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager in Paterson, NJ. You will own the pipeline, manage relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, and work with an engineer to price and seal the technical side.

Your role focuses on building a robust prospect list, tracking permits and bid boards, and driving proposals from first contact through signed agreements, with regular travel to client sites and planning meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry—testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; pursue and qualify it.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
