Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager in New Jersey to own relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage a full pursuit pipeline, coordinate with the engineering team on scope and pricing, and represent the company at industry events to drive signed testing and inspection work.

Your week includes client visits, pre-bid meetings, proposal reviews with the pricing engineer, and follow-up calls to move deals forward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms
• Own relationships end to end and track permits and bid boards
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal and signed agreement
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team on scope, pricing and qualifications
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events
• Report pipeline and results monthly
