Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own a market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline from first contact through proposal and signed agreements, coordinating with the engineering team on scope and pricing.

You’ll build relationships end to end, track permits and bid boards, and represent the company at industry events. Expect travel to client sites and occasional travel to Sugar Land.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and terms with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in the CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to source work before it is awarded.
