Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market, build relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, and drive proposals to signed testing and inspection work.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side, while you manage relationships, pipeline, and closes. Expect local travel in Texas and occasional travel to Sugar Land HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Run pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events; report pipeline monthly.
