Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline and drive proposals that become signed testing and inspection work.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side; your focus is the relationships, the pipeline, and the close. Expect travel to client sites and occasional visits to Sugar Land for planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfortable talking specs and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline in CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
