Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships, pipeline, and close. You will work with a seller-doer engineer to price and seal the technical work, while you manage client development and revenue growth.

Your responsibilities include building a target list of clients, tracking opportunities, guiding proposals, and representing the company at industry events. Expect regular local travel with some planning trips to Sugar Land.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners

Responsibilities

• Build and own a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in CRM
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work early
• Qualify and pursue opportunities and coordinate proposals with engineering
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events
• Report pipeline and results monthly
