Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market, nurturing relationships with general contractors, owners, developers and design firms, and driving the project pipeline from proposal to signed testing and inspection work.

You will collaborate with a seller-doer engineer pricing the technical side, while you manage the pipeline, negotiations, and client meetings, with some travel to client sites and Sugar Land as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specs and terms with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards and project announcements.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
