Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market, pipeline, and close. You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side, while you handle relationships, pipeline, and deal closure.

Your responsibilities include building a target client list, managing the pursuit process in the CRM, coordinating with engineering, and representing the company at industry events. Travel locally and occasionally to Sugar Land is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities; run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events; report pipeline monthly.
• Travel locally; occasional travel to Sugar Land for planning and coordination.
