Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to assist with material handling, equipment assembly and dismantling, area preparation, and general cleaning of machines and workspaces.

Responsibilities include loading, supplying materials, cleaning, erecting scaffolding, leveling groundwork, and handling concrete work and vibrations. Travel per project needs and flexibility are required, with safety and team collaboration emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Duties may change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Travel per project needs.
• All other duties as assigned.
