Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to support laborers and journeymen with material handling, equipment setup, and site cleanup. You will prepare, load, and supply materials, helping keep work areas efficient and safe.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading gear, erecting scaffolding, preparing ground, and assisting with concrete placement and vibration. The role emphasizes teamwork, a positive attitude, and reliable communication across trades.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned
