Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to support field crews with material handling, equipment prep, and site cleanup across projects. You will assist Laborers and Journeymen, set up and dismantle scaffolding, and help maintain safe, organized work areas.

This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and reliable communication. Prior construction exposure is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance; use of assorted tools and machinery as directed; the position offers benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment listed.
• Strong teamwork and communication required.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Safety awareness and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
