Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Laborer to assist Laborers and Laborer Journeyman with material handling, assembling and dismantling equipment, preparing work areas, and cleaning machines and workspaces. Responsibilities include loading and unloading equipment, supplying materials, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, moving concrete, vibrating concrete, and maintaining a safe, clean job site.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to use power and non-powered tools such as vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
