Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to support construction sites by preparing, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts. You will load and unload equipment, assist with erecting and dismantling scaffolding, level ground for staging, and keep work areas clean and safe.

The role requires completing a two-year apprenticeship and experience in construction is preferred. You must be comfortable using power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers, as well as

Qualifications

• Must have completed a two-year apprenticeship.
• Experience in construction is preferred.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal.
