Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer I to support construction activities by preparing, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, scaffolding setup, leveling ground, tending mortar and grout, and concrete placement.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication across diverse teams. Applicants should have a two-year apprenticeship and construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship completed.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment listed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
