Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer I to support construction crews by preparing, handling, and supplying materials. Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, tending mortar and grout, and moving concrete with safety and teamwork at the forefront.

The role emphasizes working with diverse teams, adhering to safety standards, and performing additional duties as assigned on a dynamic job site.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to operate power and non-powered tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork, communication and active listening skills.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Duties may change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift/move/shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal.
• Place, push, pull and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build positive relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• All other duties as assigned.
