Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking Laborers to support skilled crafts on our projects. You will help with concrete formwork, placement, and finishing, as well as material handling and site housekeeping.

This safety‑sensitive role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work with carpenters, masons, and concrete crews. Experience with construction sites, attention to safety protocols, and a willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must follow safe work practices per safety program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions.
• Must communicate effectively with co‑workers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Reliable transportation and consistent work attendance required.
• Safety footwear must be provided by the worker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement including final dirt excavation and grading.
• Assemble concrete forms and assist with placement and lifting.
• Handle concrete buckets from crane and muck slabs for even distribution.
• Strip forms after curing and transport for storage.
• Assist finishers with power trowels and screeds.
• Support masons with handling cement, lime, sand, and grout bags.
• assist carpenters with door frames transport and placement.
• Load/unload and distribute materials and tools per plans.
• Promote safety and secure the jobsite at end of day.
