Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to assist with material handling, equipment setup, and site cleanup. You will support various crafts, move tools and materials, and help prepare work areas on construction projects in Texas.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability on diverse teams, with opportunities to learn through hands-on experience in an active building environment. Prior construction exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout; lift, unload, move, set and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, loading or burning debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
