Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain accounts, and support new business. The role involves coordinating daily admin tasks, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy across policy administration, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of account management experience in insurance, active P&C license, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in insurance
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active property & casualty (P&C) license required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals, and conduct client submissions and proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Strive for service excellence and continuous improvement.
