Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business, retain clients, and support new business development. The role involves coordinating day-to-day administrative tasks, handling policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals so service levels stay high.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ in insurance), holds active P&C license, and may have CIC.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy expirations and renewals; monitor delinquent accounts and collections.
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals; ensure data accuracy in agency systems.
