Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business development.

The role requires 3–5 years of account management or 5+ years in insurance, a valid P&C license, and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Hybrid work options available with some onsite requirements in NY; remote work for Eastern/Central Time Zones may apply.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and prepare submissions.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate client needs.
• Adhere to company policies and pursue continuous improvement.
