Texas Department of Transportation Fort Worth District is seeking Construction Inspector I/II to inspect roadways and bridges, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to plans and specifications. The role requires collaboration with district personnel, contractors, and pre-construction meetings.

The positions involve driving a state vehicle, daily field work, and adherence to safety standards. Training will be provided for all aspects of the job, with opportunities for growth within TxDOT.

Formación

• High school grad or equivalent is required.
• Inspector II requires 1 year in related construction/inspection or engineering support experience; substitutions for minimum qualifications may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Advises supervisor of inspection activities and problems at plants and coordinates inspections.
• Calculates payments due contractors for work completed.
• Ensures adequate levels of equipment and materials for projects and that material tests meet standards.
• Observes and inspects ongoing construction work.
• Documents work progress and issues arising throughout scope of project.
