Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation Fort Worth District is seeking Construction Inspector I or II for the Erath County Area Office in Stephenville, TX. You will inspect roadways, bridges and related structures, working with engineers and contractors to ensure compliance and quality.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a state vehicle.
Construction Inspector roles require knowledge of plans, specs and inspection practices.
Willingness to learn and work in a team, with training provided.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure contractors follow plans and specs.
Consult with engineers and contractors on progress, issues, and cost estimates.
Monitor traffic control and safety plans; document work progress and changes.
Prepare reports and assist in engineering-related data collection and analysis.
