Texas Department of Transportation is seeking Construction Inspectors I‑III in Beaumont District. You will inspect roadways, bridges, and related structures, ensuring work meets plans and specifications and coordinating with engineers and contractors.

The role involves supervising inspection activities, mentoring junior staff, and performing data collection and reporting to support project progression.

Formación

• High School Grad or Equivalent required.
• Experience levels vary by inspector I/II/III; substitution for education or experience allowed.
• Familiarity with plans, specifications, estimates and inspection procedures is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Calculates payments due contractors for work completed.
• Consults with project engineers and contractors on progress and problems; reviews data.
• Ensures adequate equipment/materials are available; ensures materials meet standards.
• Drives to sites to observe construction and verify compliance with plans.
• Monitors traffic control and safety plans; inspects barricades and devices.
