Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Business Controller for its Next Direct unit to ensure timely, accurate BU financial reporting and safeguard assets while guiding a single business. You will partner with department heads to align overheads and financials with strategic goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, governance of forecasting and reporting processes, and developing staff while maintaining a strong control environment across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred experience as a finance business partner within a supply chain-focused organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate BU financial reports and safeguard company assets.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close for the business unit.
• Review contracts and leverage CE system data for accurate reporting.
• Manage regional capital expenditures and cost allocations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team with a focus on discipline and accountability.
