Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Project Controller to lead all financial administration and fiscal management for mega projects or multiple large-scale endeavors across Texas, with regular travel to project sites.

You will manage project forecasts, financial close processes, risk/opportunity analyses, and ensure adherence to Gilbane's policies while developing high-performing teams and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10 years of project accounting experience on commercial construction projects.
• Equivalency of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Trains and supports project teams in project accounting procedures.
• Supervises and trains direct reports on processes and completes daily tasks.
• Ensures accuracy of project forecasts.
• Assists in monthly close and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Acts as Independent Accountant during forecast meetings to mitigate risk.
• Evaluates change management impact on projects.
• Monitors risk indicators and informs management.
• Supports WIP reporting with Accounting Manager or Business Controller.
• Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Communicates department strategy to direct reports.
