Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a technical Business Controller to ensure timely and accurate BU financial reports and safeguard company assets while overseeing a single business. You will partner with Department Heads to align overheads with the financials and support project forecasting and risk assessment.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and hands-on control of budgeting, cash flow, capital expenditures, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with revenues of $500 million+.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirms internal controls and proper reporting.
• Manages financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting accuracy.
• Ensures capitalization and expenditure controls.
• Oversees accounts and timekeeping accuracy for project forecasting.
• Provides due diligence on financial risks and training needs.
• Leads regional office administration and capital expenditures.
