Job summary

BESTAFF is hiring a Sales & Field Representative based in Clarksville, IN. You will cover the Louisville-to-Indianapolis corridor, spend time on active job sites taking measurements, and grow accounts with builders and contractors.

This is a hands-on, high-detail role combining field work and sales in a locally owned environment. The position offers a base with incentives, a mix of office, road, and job-site time, and opportunities for advancement within our markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management, construction sales, building materials, or related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings.
• Precise measuring and documentation skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
• Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather and on uneven terrain.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Grow your territory across the Louisville, KY to Indianapolis, IN corridor.
• Build and strengthen relationships with builders, contractors, and superintendents; turn leads into new accounts.
• Measure in the field by visiting job sites to take accurate measurements driving design, production and scheduling.
• Document site conditions with photos and notes that affect delivery and access.
• Spot and report differences between plans and what you observe on site; communicate quickly to teams.
• Create customized proposals that clearly address customer needs.
• Keep account records current and report activity, open proposals, wins and losses.
• Represent the company at events and demos to generate new business.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements on every site visit.
