Job summary

CDM Smith in Portland, ME is seeking a Construction Estimator to support pre‑construction and execution phases with strong cost analysis and coordination capabilities. You will prepare estimates, review subcontractor pricing, and work with field teams to ensure accuracy and timely deliverables for diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience required; travel may be required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take‑offs and cost research.
• Uses Timberline to prepare OPCC and design‑build project estimates.
• Researches historical data to develop guidelines for estimates.
• Reviews pricing from PMs or procurement against OPCCs.
• Communicates with subcontractors and suppliers for current pricing.
• Prepares project scheduling and financial analyses for reporting.
