Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a construction estimator to support project teams on a range of design-build and traditional projects. The role involves estimating costs, preparing OPCCs, coordinating with procurement for pricing, and developing baseline project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks, including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Prepare or assist in preparation of Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement to obtain current pricing and bids.
• Develop detailed baseline schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Assist in change management, RFIs, and submittals for projects.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.

Education
