Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Estimator in Georgia to support cost estimation for diverse construction projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, prepare OPCC using Timberline, and research costs for bids.

The role involves reviewing supplier quotes and coordinating with project managers to ensure accurate baselines and schedules. The position requires 3+ years of related experience, travel as needed, and the ability to develop detailed cost estimates for design-build and conventional projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
3 years of related experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
Utilizes Timberline to prepare OPCC and design-build project estimates.
Researches historical data and compiles reports to develop guidelines for future estimates.
Receives and reviews pricing from project managers against OPCCs.
Coordinates timely arrival of parts, equipment, and construction materials with field personnel.
