Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a qualified estimator to support cost planning and pre-bid activities on a variety of construction projects. The role involves quantity take-offs, cost research, and preparing OPCCs and design-build estimates.

You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors and the VDC/BIM teams, develop baseline schedules, and contribute to change management and QA/QC documentation. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
• Experience with project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and researching costs.
• Uses Timberline to prepare OPCCs and design-build estimates.
• Develops schedules, baselines, and time impact analyses with project teams.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors for pricing and RFIs.
• Supports change management and QA/QC documentation.
