Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced estimator to support a range of construction projects focused on cost control and value engineering. You will perform takeoffs, prepare OPCCs, research pricing, and provide bid support across diverse project types.

You will develop budgets, review subcontractor pricing, and contribute to project scheduling and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required, with up to 10% travel anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs, cost research, and preparation of OPCCs.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare or assist in preparation of Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design build projects.
• Receives, reviews, and files pricings from project managers against OPCCs.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for current pricing and bidder interest.
• Develops simple to complex scopes of work and prepares project scheduling and financial analyses.
