Job summary

Van Wall Group in Perry, IA is seeking an outside sales professional to promote and sell new and used construction equipment, with turf and commercial equipment as potential adds. You will primarily work with new and existing customers to provide effective solutions and grow our coverage in the field.

Key duties include representing the company in equipment sales, conducting demonstrations, maintaining product knowledge, processing orders, coordinating financing, and supporting customer events

Qualifications

• 1+ years of equipment sales experience required.
• Knowledge of compact construction products preferred.
• Ability to operate all equipment offered for sale.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain/maintain Class A CDL.

Job Summary

The position would sell new and used construction equipment. May also include selling turf and commercial equipment as well. Most of the responsibility would be outside sales, working with new and existing customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Represents the company for the sale of equipment to customers
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment offered for sale
• Must be able to operate all equipment that is offered for sale by the dealership
• Maintains knowledge of competitive activity & products communicating to management, accordingly
• Maintains all customer information for sales management, monitoring trends in customer business activity
• Knows and follows a defined sales process
• Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
• Conducts new equipment demonstrations
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values to evaluate properly for trading purposes

Position Qualifications

• 1+ years of equipment sales experience
• Knowledge of compact construction products required
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license, have Class A CDL (or be able to get) and good driving record
