Job summary

N C Machinery is seeking an Anchorage, Alaska based outside sales professional to grow the rental customer base and manage key accounts. You will conduct weekly in-person client visits, present equipment and financing options, and maintain meticulous records while coordinating with operations for equipment availability.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years outside sales experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills; a business degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years outside sales experience; rental experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent with valid driver’s license; business degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Caterpillar software experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new customers within the territory to maximum potential.
• Maintain and build positive customer relations.
• Conduct weekly in person visits with customers in offices and on jobsites.
• Provide product information and education on financing plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer records to include logging/input data.
• Manage expenses and follow sales procedures and policies.
• Coordinate with operations personnel regarding equipment availability and rental programs.
• Be articulate and effective in communicating customer business needs.
