Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I for a remote role with travel, supporting warranty forensics, emerging technologies, and construction engineering during operations. The position begins as a contingent assignment with potential to transition to a permanent role.

Responsibilities include data gathering for warranty claims, deployment of GPS/drone technologies, RFIs, and document control across EPC projects nationwide. Travel required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience with guidance.
  • EIT certification preferred or willingness to pursue.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical drawings.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills for cross-team workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Warranty Forensics: gather data, document concerns, identify root causes, maintain logs, and coordinate remediation actions.
  • Emerging Technologies Implementation: support GPS-based pile driving, drone topo capture, and data sets for machine control.
  • Construction Engineering Support During Operations: manage RFIs, distribute drawings, clarify requirements, and track responses.
  • Pile Load Testing Support During Initial Design: coordinate pre-construction tests, document procedures, and share results.
  • General Engineering Responsibilities: review plans, support constructability reviews, and share lessons learned.
