Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is hiring for Project Controls Analysts in Livermore, CA. The role supports scheduling, cost control, and earned value management for large, high-priority projects within the Extreme Light, Matter and Fusion Directorate. A hybrid work model is available, with some days in-person and some remote, and U.S.

citizenship is required for the DOE Q clearance. The position emphasizes dashboards, data visualization, and proactive risk management using tools

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, construction management, information systems or related field, or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of earned value management and scheduling principles.
• Extensive experience using scheduling/reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra).
• Advanced Excel skills and data visualization capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project teams to assess schedule impacts and provide guidance.
• Develop schedule analytics including critical path, float, variance and trends.
• Oversee dashboards that communicate project health and forecast trends.
• Monitor cost/schedule variances and prepare corrective action plans.
• Prepare program reports and sponsor data for review meetings.
• Develop and teach project controls processes and tools to staff.
• Maintain data integrity and compliance with processes.
